rdmore House is within minutes walking distance of Newtown's cosmopolitan King Street, with its many boutiques, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants.

To reach King Street, you walk across historic Camperdown Memorial Rest Park. Here you will find a walled cemetery and a fine example of an Edmund Blackett church.

In the cemetery, are many interesting gravestones from Australia's colonial past, including shipwreck victims, and heartbreaking multiple infant deaths from the great plagues that swept the young colony: a walking tour of historical Newtown is easily arranged.

Newtown is well served by public transport with both Bus and Trains to the city and the south running every twenty minutes. A fifteen minute train trip will bring you to Circular Quay, The Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. There is also a direct bus route to Oxford Street, Bondi Junction and Kings Cross.
